Our Daily Manna October 11, 2017: ODM devotional – Does Your Bible Mark You?

Topic: Does Your Bible Mark You? [Wednesday, October 11, 2017]

Basic Scripture: 1 John 2: 10 – 17

Charles Spurgeon of blessed memory said many years ago: “Sin is the mother and nurse of evil, the egg of all mischief, the foundation of all bitterness, the root of misery.” He also said: “The Christian is the most contented man in the world, but he is the less contented with the world.” How true! The love of the world is opposite of the love of the Father. The spirit behind the world is not the spirit of God.

The word has their dressing, their music, their language and their lifestyle. The child of God must be different! Someone said, “If they were to convict or try you in a law court for being a child of God, would there be enough evidence?” Think and avoid DELIBERATE SIN! Are you an example in your office, community, or school? A good example is the best sermon you can preach.

Today take note of this:

“Some people can be expose to religion all their lives without ever catching it, just as some people get doctorate o[in philosophy without being educated,”

The most painful:

Many Christians mark their Bibles, but their Bibles never mark them.

As 2017 ends and 2018 begins, may God change you as you pray to be more like Jesus.
