One day a young musician may mention how a visit from the biggest beverage company in Nigeria to his school, changed his life. No doubt, many things in life are determined by opportunity.
So last week, students of Government Secondary School, Owerri (GSSO), got the opportunity to become music stars, when Coke Studio Bus visited their school to give them a taste of stardom.

GSSO which is the biggest school in Imo, has over 6, 000 students in both Junior and senior arm. The school became a competition ground for fresh talents to express their musical skills, as it held a tough audition that resulted in a nomination of 10 students by the whole school, from which 4 of the teens made it to the Coke Studio Bus to record their songs.
Each one of the selected 4 students spent time in the studio with the producer, trying to blend the young stars’ songs and the different beats cooked by the producer. By the time the session ended, one could see the sparkle in the eyes of the students as they could not hide their excitement with the opportunity Coke Studio offered them.
Their teachers who were also present at the studio applauded the student’s talent and could not help but danced to the incredible sounds coming out from the studio.
Speaking with excitement on Coke Studio Africa’s visit to the School, the Vice Principal Administrative of Government Secondary School, Owerri, Mr. Ibekwe Benjamin expressed, “this is a noble venture from Coca-Cola, and our students are very excited to have such a multinational company around, this will definitely spur them to action trying to exhibit or show the hidden talent in them”
