Topic: Be Orderly [Friday May 8, 2015]

“Let all things be done decently and in order.”-1 Corinthians 14:40

The word order is not just one that is used in court rooms when a judge wants all to be quiet, or what you do when arranging your house or any particular space. It is an act you ought to apply in every aspect of your life: spiritually, physically, mentally and even maritally. To be orderly means be organised in thoughts, behaviour and appearance. It is a total sum of your personality.

Life itself is in stages, and if you attempt to leave out a stage and proceed to the other, it may affect everything else you worked for prior. You should learn to take life one step at a time, instead of juggling some many things at once, allowing them all to slowly but surely, slip away.

There is this story of some men who went to catch some rabbits. They strategically positioned themselves at the hole, waiting for the rabbits to come out. As these rabbits came out, they ran in different directions at the sight of these men, as expected. The men being unskilful, decided to chase all the rabbits at the same time, and at the end of the day caught nothing.

So it is, when you try to do everything without being focused on one. This is not to say you cannot achieve more than one thing at a time, but you must be able to prioritise. Let everything be done orderly; according to importance. Organize you time, your thoughts, your work, your finance and every minute of your day. You always will discover that you achieve more when you work in order.

A disorganized person can never get anything done. Even when that person does, you are sure it would be sloppy, or in a lot more time than was needed. Focus is therefore of importance if you want to be better. Today therefore, as you strive for mastery in all that you do, remember to be orderly and your results are sure to be glorious.
