Topic: “Rule” your home [Saturday August 22, 2015]

“He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”-Proverbs 25:28

We all have rules for many things. Some rules are reasonable and some, from the opinions of others, are not. Some may be amusing, and others, just born out of mere human philosophies. Whatever the case is, rules are very essential. They set the ethical standard for any strong organisation that would stand the test of time. However, as important as rules are, some people have failed to place this toll in their homes.

Your marriage and/or family need rules to guide it. These rules address the administration of the home; how it should be run on a daily bases. You need an established guideline to help enhance the smooth operation of your home and help project what your family should be looking forward to achieving. For your home to be successful, you need to properly administer a system that assigns responsibility to everyone in the home, giving room for improvement. Every member of the family has to be accountable for his or her responsibilities, so that when there they slack, you know what angle to tackle it from. You can lift a burden off your shoulder by setting a rule to every aspect of your home. Nothing enhances progress like good planning and execution. My home from inception has always had laid down rules and it has worked and keeps working for me. So, if you don’t have one in place, establish it together with your spouse today.

Remain Blessed!
