“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28

Most times, when people are confronted with marital challenges that seem too “difficult” for them, the easiest approach they engage is to sit, relax and do nothing. Most of the time, they do that because they have lost hope of reviving the relationship and so they consider separation or divorce as the best option for them. However, there is another approach that when done together, would restore the “sparks” that once was in the marriage.

This approach is as simple as it can be, if only you can commit yourself to it. When you are on a journey and you get lost on a lonely path, its wisdom to return to the place where you think you have missed it, and get your navigation right. However, in marriage, it takes both of you recognising that you are lost and in dire need of direction. When you have both agreed on that, then you should return to the point when everything was sweet and rosy and start your restructuring journey from there.

Most times, this calls for continuous communication and researching of the Word of God together and individually. You need the Bible to get your footing and in most cases, disobedience or lack of Word study is where marital challenges begin. Jesus says: “Come unto Me…” This means get your instructions and nuggets from Me, and follow through with My Words and it will guarantee you rest on all sides.

Therefore, are you confronted with challenges in your home, or threatened with separation? Feel free to retrace your steps through the Word. Get to the point where it all began and hand everything over to God. Commit to following every detail concerning marriage as written in Scriptures and let your actions and counsel be only based on the Word of God. You are too precious to be defeated by challenges, receive grace for victory today!

Remain Blessed!
