Topic: Building Together [Saturday 14 November, 2015]

“Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.”Matthew 19:6

Human needs are becoming more and more insatiable; hence people work night and day, to meet up with their many needs. Many, in a bid to look for greener pastures, have to travel far, leaving their family behind. While there is a need for you to work hard to meet your needs, wisdom should be your principal guide.

The Bible is the wisdom of God and it says, “What God hath joined together, let not man–-job, extended family, hobby, leisure—put asunder.” The truth is: Satan uses seemingly legitimate reasons to separate couples. Whatever moves a man or a woman from their family may easily be Satan luring them away from the Garden of Eden, to a place where they become wanderers.

Many homes have been ruined because one party works in another town or country, far away from their spouse. Money does not make a happy home, obedience to the will of God as stated in Scriptures, does. It takes two to build a home and if it begins with their coming together, it will most definitely only be sustained by their staying together.

Remember, the Bible says: “A house divided against itself cannot stand” (Matthew 12:25). So, a home where both husband and wife live far apart is like a time bomb that will soon explode. When it does, the remains become impossible to put perfectly together in one piece. Therefore, you must accept responsibility in building your home together, and resist any offer that puts you away from your family for a very long period of time. No matter how fat or attractive the salary is, or how pleasurable the experience, it cannot be compared to a peaceful and lasting home. May the Lord give you wisdom to build your home together in the name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!
