Topic: Imparting Good Morals [Sunday May 17, 2015]

“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”-Philemon 6

When children are growing up, especially in their teenage years, they pick up so many habits from the media, friends, neighbours, adults around and even you as parents. Some of these habits are good and others harmful to their development. In other words, their learning process is based on their relationship with others, which is a vital part of life.

At an early stage, parents must therefore endeavour to teach their children good morals that would help them throughout their lives. Teach them to set boundaries and build every relationship on the foundation of Christ. Focus them on building great careers, making impacts and living healthy – Spiritually, mentally and physically. Children are easily swayed, so you must guide them through the rudiments of life, especially the rules of engaging in relationships that will keep them in the centre of God’s will for them.

Nowadays, children are exposed to materials much too advanced for their ages, and some parents seem too busy to keep watch over them. They tend to practice the information they gather in their relationships with other children. So, in other to prevent your children from been wrongfully exposed, you must expose them to the right things and keep watch of what they see, do and who they mingle with per time.

Let their growing up stage be as important to you as earning money and gaining fame; be it at the office you work or the country you serve. Take their training as if you would win an award for it, of which your award would be a lifetime of peace and fulfilment, if they are well groomed. God is counting on you to lead them aright and you must not fail Him.

Remain Blessed!
