Topic: God Must Have the First Place

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33

All through my search of the scripture and my observations about life, it is evident that people who put God first in their lives and activities come out great and outstanding. I believe that this is why the Bible says He that is in you is far greater than everything in the world put together.

There is nothing anyone can achieve or attain in life without God’s help. All forms of assistance from man are futile and temporal, and only the help of God can make all the difference. He is forever settled. This is why it is important for you at this formative stage of your life to develop a strong attachment to Him.

At this point in time, you need to examine where you have placed God. What position does He occupy in your life? Do you come to Him only when you need something done, or when you are in trouble and need Him to bail you out? OR Do you regard Him as your Father, Friend, Comforter and Helper? How often do you choose attending a party or visiting your friends over church activities? These are indicators in determining whether or not He truly has the first place in your life.

God will always deserve the first. David said, “I will not offer anything that cost me nothing.” Your priority towards God has to be right and if it must be right, He should be at the top of your list; the primary activity in your life. God loves you and wants a perfect relationship with you. He wants you to remove every distraction on your path to serving Him as you walk with Him with a perfect heart. It does not matter your age or grade. In fact, the earlier the better because then, you stand the chance of enjoying the best of Him for a long time.

Decide today to shun other distractions and focus solely on God and how to please Him. Remember, your dreams, aspirations, passions, and visions can only be fully actualized when He is involved. You will not lose focus in the name of Jesus!

Remain Blessed!
