Topic: Invest inwards [Thursday June 18, 2015]
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”-2 Corinthians 4:18
If you were in a cooking competition, determined to win, you most definitely would be prepared to do all it takes to make your meal tasty. You would ensure that you have all the necessary ingredients for that particular delicacy, including the ones that are not mandatory. The ingredients used in that meal, will to a large extent, determine how tasty the meal would be. It would be a waste, if you invest much in the design of the pots, plates and cutleries, when the food is tasteless. Nobody wants to know how much you spent to decorate the place, but how rich the meal is.

So it is with you. You can be likened to that delicious delicacy that would be prepared.
Your character, attitude, words, carriage and inner self worth are the ingredients needed to prepare the great meal which is “you”. If you decide to leave out any of these essential ingredients, or don’t use enough of it, it affects the outcome of your life. However, when all these are in the appropriate proportions, you can be sure of a tasty and mouth watering delicacy (that is, you). More so, as in a meal, these ingredients are not seen, but they are very important. So, don’t invest too much on outward appearance, although that is important, without realising that the beauty is in the inner you; the real you.
Therefore, while you make efforts to be attractive, beautiful and pleasing to the eyes on the outside, you should make much more of an effort to be beautiful, tasty and rich within. It is what is inside of you people crave for, and it is what they will remember. That’s what gives you a victorious life; not necessarily what they outwardly see. Invest more in the real you, and let your outward packaging be only an addition.
Remain Blessed!
