“Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.”2 Thessalonians 3:6

If you are newly adopted into a family, you need to learn their ways. Your communication pattern for example would have to conform with theirs, if not you would be often misunderstood. Similarly, there is a tradition which you are expected to follow as a believer. It is a divine tradition written in the pages of Scriptures. Your lifestyle, speech and relationships have to conform to this new tradition; otherwise you would be seen as a misfit.

The heavenly tradition is holy and pure; thus it needs to be brought to bear on the earth. The apostles followed this divine tradition to the letter, so they could boldly declare that others should follow them (2 Thessalonians 3:7). People cannot physically see Jesus, but they can see Him through you, if you choose.

Mostly, some people become lazy to search the Word of God for themselves, so they locate someone who they know to be a believer and interpret the Scripture through them. However, the question is this: What interpretation of the Bible do you portray? Do you actually truly walk your talk of being a Christian, or only talk on how a Christian ought to walk?

In case you have been walking disorderly in any area of your life, you must decide today to change. Your days of ignorance are over; it’s time to start portraying Jesus in you just the way He really is. You must consciously devote yourself to walking the Word and not just reading it to others. You are indeed a light to the world, so let it shine in the right direction. You will not fail God in the name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!
