Topic: Keep a Check! [Thursday 15 October, 2015]

“…Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”-Zechariah 4:6

The only constant thing in life is change, and desiring a positive change in any area of life is one of the greatest decisions anyone can make. Everyone at one point or another has desired a change in jobs, academic performance, health- wise or even maritally. However, there is a very important aspect of change that not everyone consciously engages in; and that is a change in character.

Your character is the foundation of your life. A faulty character would always end anyone in a crash. That is why it is advisable for you to regularly evaluate your character, so you are not found wanting in any aspect of life. One way you could evaluate effectively is to involve the master check machine – the Holy Spirit.

Part of the work of the Holy Spirit to you is to teach you all things. And His teachings are to help conform you (&your character) to the image of Jesus Christ. A change in character is only possible by the help of the Holy Spirit. The human nature is very forceful, so you need a Greater force to counter the force of your flesh.

One thing about negative character is, it has no respect for the level of tongues you speak, or the number of years you’ve been in Christendom; it only gives way to your decision for a change through the help of the Holy Spirit. I have often heard and seen people come for prayers to stop a negative habit, when all that’s really needed is submission to the help of the Holy Spirit. Be broken before Him in prayers, and seeing your strong desire for His help, He will swiftly come to your rescue.

Remember, the battle over character is not a battle for the flesh. You need a stronger Force. Go for the Holy Spirit today and walk out of that struggle triumphantly.

Remain Blessed!
