Topic: Something in Nothing [Thursday 24 September, 2015]

“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.”-Ecclesiastes 11:1

Many young people today find it difficult to save their earnings. They would rather spend it all on fashion, gadgets, holidays or other exotic things, forgetting that they could invest to get themselves a better tomorrow. Some people even claim not to be earning enough to save. The truth is: there is nothing that would ever be enough; you just have to start from where you are.

It is not wrong to “live large” you might say, but it is very wrong if you live large at the expense of your tomorrow. Many are ignorant of what it means to invest. However, if you have a good understanding of the profit derived from your savings and investments, you would dive into it. Yes, you might be deprived of some “good” of today, but it would afford you the best of tomorrow.

The idea of saving and investing is actually Scriptural. Even Jesus had a treasurer in charge of their income and expenditures. Joseph also saved the whole of Egypt through wise savings and investments. Your generation can also be saved if you learn how to spend and save wisely.

The truth is: There is always a seed in every fruit that gets to you. Do not eat your fruit along with the seeds. It is to be sown for a greater harvest. Please understand that among other valuable investment you can make, your primary investment is your tithe. This is your only preservative to other forms of investments. So, today, think investments and you will be saved from a lifestyle of borrowing.

Remain Blessed!
