Topic: Build on the Solid Foundation [Tuesday May 26, 2015]

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure…”-2 Timothy 2:19

I gave my life to Christ as a youth and have maintained this hunger and thirst for God and everything that pertains to Him ever since. While in secondary school, we were a group of five very close friends. We prayed together, studied the Word, fasted and attended Christian gatherings together. At that time, such activities for females were neither common, nor normal.

Some of our classmates wondered at what kind of people we were, with some within this group mocking and calling us names. However, I knew I was laying a solid foundation for the future that no one would take away. That foundation has grown and is still growing into a beautiful building today.Spirituality is the most profitable venture anyone can engage in. Its benefits go beyond the present life, to eternity.

There is no use whiling away time, hoping to be born again later after “enjoying life”. Being spiritual is not punishment, so don’t see it as one. Life doesn’t stop when you decide to give your all to God; this is when true life begins! It becomes more meaningful and rewarding after this.

Building your foundation in Christ is everything; nothing can substitute for it. The quality of success you will attain in life is dependent on how well you are able to stand firm in Christ. Remember the Bible says that no other foundation can any man lay than that which has already been laid, which is Jesus (1 Corinthians 3:10). So, if the foundation has been laid, why not build your life on this sure ground and as you do that, you will never know shame in the name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!
