Topic: Strip Yourself [Tuesday 17 November, 2015]

“And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.”-Isaiah 37:14

The first time I came in contact with this story of king Hezekiah and the king of Assyria, I fell in love with it. It is not just because God saved the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the terror of that proud king, but the manner in which Hezekiah presented his case before God. He never assumed anything, nor did he limit the power of God to save His people. He stripped himself before the “real King” who is able, willing and ready to save them; and his victory was unmistakeable.

How many times have you stripped yourself before God? Have you ever taken the time to tell God of the real situation of things and how that you rely solely on His power to save you? Some people still feel a bit restricted when they relate their issues with God. They cover some aspect of it and some others pretend as if all is well when truly, it might not be. Some others feel they can handle their issues on their own, when they are actually being suffocated by their challenges.

Why not take a clue from this wise king today. Strip yourself before God; He already knows your needs, but let Him know how you feel and that you have no other alternative beside Him. I would advise that you read this chapter in the Bible (as quoted from, above) and if need be, adopt the approach of King Hezekiah. That need is not as difficult and personal as you think; it only takes your right approach to solving it. That approach should be handing over the whole of it to God.

I have heard several testimonies of people who were mocked and persecuted in their ordeals, and they turned it over to God. The good news is that they got their miracles at the instance of their action and you too can get yours. That challenge is not suppose to go beyond a moment; turn it over to God as you empty yourself before Him today. Your desires shall be granted in the name Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!
