Topic: Acknowledgment! [Wednesday April 1, 2015]

“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” – Psalm 34:1

When you look at a movie, read a book or examine a great piece of art, all that comes to your mind is that the director, author or artist have done a great job. In most cases, they receive all the credit and admiration; forgetting that there are also people behind the scenes who were just as critical in making that project a success.

Every great plan, vision, wonderful ministry and an excellent family are what people admire, but they don’t see the invisible doer; the One without whose input, all those things are impossible and/or insignificant. Though it is not their duty to see Him, it is your duty to acknowledge His hand. No one can do that for you; and a lack of acknowledge almost always equals or leads to pride.

He ordained you a minister/ minister’s wife from the beginning, and without your effort, played the script so well that you would fit into this role. He has not only left you to act, but has also backed you up, bringing to your remembrance your lines when you forget them and also helping you play it to perfection.

Though no one sees Him, they see the finished product you bring out. You cannot deny Him, so don’t try to take the credit for yourself. The next time someone gives credit to anything that pertains to you, look up and say that’s You and not me. It is in your acknowledgement that greater opportunities and doors open up for you. No one diminishes with praise; they go from strength to strength.

Remain Blessed!
