Topic: Running the Race [Wednesday February 18, 2015]

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” – Hebrews 12:1

There went the whistle and everyone was running to the finished line. In this race, everyone can be a winner provided you do not violate the rules or leave the race. It does not matter when you start the race, but you must remember to finish well.

The race of life has been set before you and you have been selected from the multitude, as a minister’s wife, to run. Your history has nothing to do with it. The task before you is not easy, but as in every race, you need to adequately prepare and have the right character to match up with your preparation, to win to the prize.

Just as in relay, God has a glorious plan for your life and His plans are always in stages. Until one phase is completed, He would not unveil the next one to you. That is why you need patience to run the race set before you, bearing in mind that the end will be far more glorious than the beginning.

Also, to be victorious in this race, faith is a key virtue. Faith believes that God is Who He said He is, He can do what He said He can do, and His leading is enough to get you to that glorious future He has prepared for you. It is in this confidence that you run with full assurance of obtaining the prize.

You must believe in your success. Every athlete believes before the race that they would emerge as winner. That is how it should be with you. Faith is the ever-winning, never failing force in the universe. It builds your confidence in God and when your confidence is built, your victory is sure. Remain strong and see you at the finished line.

Remain Blessed!
