Topic: A loving Ministry [Wednesday 28 October, 2015]

“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”-1 Corinthians 9:22

One of the components that make ministry effective is love. The truth is: Love should be at the centre of every ministerial work. It is obligatory and not optional for you to love with compassion God’s sheep kept in your care. The reason why people take advantage of their members is because they lack that genuine love for their souls.

Love compels you to do all it takes to see that their soul prospers and that should be your greatest reward. Do you know that love is visible? Wherever love exists, it can be seen by all. The congregation you pastor in love would always have a manifestation of signs and wonders. I can boldly say that the reason why some assemblies don’t record testimonies is because they are not founded on the basis of love.

Love is all about sharing and giving to benefit the other person. Your rewards might not be physical, but if you look inward you realise that the satisfaction you feel is much more than any physical reward. God so loved the world that He gave (John 3:16), if you so love those you pastor over, you would give attention to them by feeding their spirit and soul.

Therefore, I dare to ask you dear minister, how much do you love your congregation? If you truly do from your heart, demonstrate it, live it and let it reflect in your relationship with them. Your love for them would be expressed by the kind of diet” you feed them with in every of your services, the manner in which you relate to their immediate needs and how flourishing they are in all areas of their lives. Don’t be a careless minister, be devoted in love.

Remain Blessed!
