A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State and member of the Contact Committee of the PDP Governorship Campaign, Mr. Paul Bebeminibo, yesterday, called on security agents to investigate allegations of alleged involvement in insurgency levelled against the All Progressives Congress, APC, by the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Mr Tele Ikuru, who defected to the PDP weekend.

He said the call became necessary so as to avoid violence during and after the general elections.

According to him, “I am calling on the IG and all relevant security agencies to investigate the APC owing to the allegation made by the Deputy Governor of Rivers State during his defection to PDP. He said that the APC are insurgents implying that they are behind the Boko Haram insurgency in the country today.

“The desperation with which they are going about the 2015 general elections shows that they are going to foment trouble if they lose the elections.”
