The University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) has announced the indefinite suspension of its postgraduate programmes. This was contained in a statement released by the university authorities, signed by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Okw’n Omeaku.

Omeaku said that the suspension followed the postgraduate students’ recent protests and restiveness.

“Management has directed immediate suspension of all postgraduate programmes indefinitely till further notice as a result of constant protest of post-graduate students, the statement said.

“Students in the PG Hostels of the university are directed to vacate the postgraduate hostels.

“All concerned students should please comply to avoid unpleasant consequences,” he said.

Omeaku said that all principal officers of the institution as well as Police and the Army in Nsukka had been notified for enforcement.
