Memorise: Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:19

Read: Revelation 14:3-4

3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Bible In One Year: Ecclesiastes 7-9, 2 Corinthians 11:1-15

MESSAGE:

Music is a strong tool to calm the mnd and refresh the body. The kind of music you listen to will tell what your thoughts are crowded with. This is why we have to be careful of the kind of songs we listen to no matter how interesting the beat might be. Be careful! Music is a strong tool in the hands of the devil that he uses to steal the souls of men, don’t fall victim. Nowadays, all kinds of music are encouraged. The devil has totally corrupted the music world so much that all people now sing about is sex, indecency, promiscuity, lust, violence and other negative things, and it is so sad that millions of young people are being corrupted daily. The devil was the choir master of heaven before he fell, so he know how to package evil in nice beats and sweet voices. Don’t be deceived by the beat, check the spirit behind the song.

Songs that draw you closer to the devil than to God will only bring the operation of demons into your life, while songs that glorify God will bring the operations of angel into your life. Which one do you prefer?

ACTION POINT:

Delete all the secular songs on your phone and laptop now.

Hymn 16:

1 Christian, seek not yet repose
Hear thy gracious Savior say;
Thou art in the midst of foes:
Watch and pray.

2 Principalities and power
Mustering their unseen array
Wait for the unguarded hours:
Watch and pray

3 Gird the heavenly armor on,
Wear it ever night and day;
Ambushed lies the evil one:
Watch and pray.

4 Hear the victors who o’ercame,
Still they mark each warrior’s way;
All with one sweet voice exclaim,
Watch and pray.

5 Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
Him thou loves to obey;
Hide within thy heart His word:
Watch and pray.

6 Watch, as if on that alone
Hung the issue of the day;
Pray, that help may be sent down:
Watch and pray.
