  1. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
  2. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Esther 1-3, Acts 5:1-42

MESSAGE:

A prophecy is a word from God in season spoken by a prophet in order to address the situation of a fellow or group of people. Sometimes, prophecies shed light on an issue at hand and what will happen in the future. Although everyone can hear from God, He often reveals His mind to His people through His mouthpiece: prophets. People ask if I’m a prophet. Well, I wont say I am but I hear from God once in a while.

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” “2 Peter 1:21”

From the above scripture, it is clear that the Holy Spirit is the giver of prophecies. Prophecies are revelations that come in the form of warnings, encouragements, directions or instructions to lead Gods people the right way. Beloved, you can become a prophet to your family and nations. All you need to do is covet the gift and ask the Giver. Develop a relationship with the Holy Spirit to the point where you’ll begin to hear Gods heartbeat.

HYMN: CHRISTIAN SEEK NOT YET REPOSE

  1. Christian, seek not yet repose,
    Hear thy guardian angel say,
    “Thou art in the midst of foes:
    Watch and pray!
  2. Principalities and powers,
    Mustering their unseen array,
    Wait for thine unguarded hours:
    “Watch and pray!
  3. Gird thy heavenly armour on,
    Wear it every night and day,
    Ambushed lies the evil one:
    “Watch and pray!
  4. Hear the victors who overcame;
    Still they mark each warrior’s way,
    All with one sweet voice exclaim,
    “Watch and pray!
  5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
    Him thou lovest to obey;
    Hide within thy heart His word,
    “Watch and pray!
  6. Watch, as if on that alone
    Hung the issue of the day;
    Pray, that help may be sent down:
    “Watch and pray!”
