READ: Genesis 40:5-8

  1. And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.
  2. And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
  3. And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?
  4. And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezra 9-10, Acts 1:1-26

MESSAGE:

Another gift given by the Holy Spirit to children of God is the gift of interpretation of tongues. This is the ability to understand and communicate in words what was said in tongues. Do you know that when the children of God gather and someone delivers a message through tongues, the message will not be understood unless there is an interpreter or the speaker interprets? This gift is so important to the Body of Christ. No wonder, when a preacher asked his congregation what type of gift they earnestly desired, after a teaching on the gifts of the Spirit, a particular lady stood and said Sir, I want the gift of the interpretation of tongues. The preacher asked “Of all the gifts”, why that? A lady in my church speaks in tongues at every meeting; if I have this gift, I will be able to know whether she’s lying or not she responded.

Another realm is the gift of interpreting dreams. Like Daniel and Joseph, this gift made ways for them in governance and they were able to proffer solutions to national economic problems and spiritual issues. Knowing Gods mind and decoding it to give direction to others is an excellent gift that you too can covet from this day forward.

KEY POINT:

There is no gift too big for the Holy Spirit to give

HYMN: ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER

  1. All to Jesus I surrender,
    All to Him I freely give;
    I will ever love and trust Him,
    In His presence daily live.

CHORUS:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

  1. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Humbly at His feet I bow;
    Worldly pleasures all forsaken,
    Take me, Jesus, take me now.
  2. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Lord, I give myself to Thee;
    Fill me with Thy love and power,
    Let Thy blessing fall on me.
  3. All to Jesus I surrender,
    Now I feel the sacred flame;
    O the joy of full salvation!
    Glory, glory to His name!
