PRAYER GUIDE FOR 2024 CONGRESS

Exodus 40:34-38 (KJV)

34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:

37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.

38 For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

Preamble

We have been having Holy Ghost Congresses, but the theme for this year’s edition is unique. “Onward Christian Soldier” as given to our Father in the Lord. Pastor E.A. Adeboye. There is no doubt that God is about to do unique things in our lives, in our families, in His church and our nation. From the above passage, the uniqueness of the Lord’s doing in the lives of His army has to do with His glory and His abiding presence, as we can see by the symbol of fire and the cloud in the onward journey of Israelites on their way to destiny. Therefore let us be expectant of great manifestation of glory in this year’s Holy Ghost Congress as we use this prayer guide through the period of fasting.

DAY 12: SOULS HARVEST DURING HOLY GHOST CONGRESS

BIBLE TEXT(S): Luke 10:12, Matthew 9:37-38, John 15:8,16,

INTRODUCTION: The Lord commands that every believer must be fruit bearing and that their fruits must abide, as the Lord will be lifted through his word in this year’s Congress, may the souls of men be attracted to God and remain with Him forever.

PRAYER POINTS

Father thank you for another season of encounter with the Holy Spirit and power through this year’s Holy Ghost Congress
Father, thank You for another opportunity to receive grace that we may be witness unto you in the utmost part of the earth. Acts 1:8
Father by your mercy, let there be an unprecedented harvest of souls in this year’s Holy Ghost congress.
Father, gather men and brethren from the four corners of the earth to attend this year Holy Ghost congress. Isaiah 11:12.
Father, arise and shine your light upon as many that are covered by darkness in Jesus’ name
Father, let your glory be seen upon all that are been put to shame during the Holy Ghost Congress. Isaiah 60
Father, uproot and demolish the heart of stone that wants to stand against the conversion of sinners in Jesus’ mighty name. Matthew 28:18.
Father, visit as many that will attend the congress with miracles as they hear your word. Acts 2:41.
Father, let everyone gladly receive the Word and desire more of it in the name of Jesus.
Father, please use this congress to add more multitude, both men and women to the church daily as many that are saved. Acts 5:14.
Father as people praise you in this congress, put a permanent end to their hardship and hard life in Jesus’ name
Father as people praise you in this congress, let them find favour with men and with God. Acts 2:47.
Father during this year’s Holy Ghost Congress, satisfy the thirsty, hungry soul, by satisfying them with your word. Isaiah 44:3.
Father open the door of salvation for the unbelievers and cause great joy and addition to the body of Christ. Acts 15:3-4.
Father, let the heavens be opened during this Congress to answer all prayers in Jesus’ name. Psalm 121:1
Being the fourth day of the HGC, pray for souls and miracles harvest and great success of all today’s specific activities in Jesus’ name

DAY 10: ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

TEXT: EXODUS 40:34-38

INTRODUCTION: This is the theme for this year’s Congress. The presence of the Lord is our sure guarantee as Christian Soldiers. Whenever the glory of God is absent from us, joy will be elusive as sorrows will be inevitable. As the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys because God was with them, let us receive fresh grace in this year HGC.

Father, we Thank You for continued Guidance and Direction in our Christian pilgrim journey
Father, we Thank You for Strength, grace of Perseverance and Endurance in our Christian pilgrim journey
Father, thank You for spiritual growth and maturity, protection and safety in all my physical and spiritual journeys

DAY 9: GRACE TO SOW SEED OF DESTINY AT THIS YEAR HGC

BIBLE TEXT(S): Genesis 8:22, Galatians 6:7, 2 Corinthians 9:6.

INTRODUCTION: What we do and what we fail to do, are seeds sowed that largely determine our experience or harvest in the future. This year Holy Ghost Congress with the theme; “Onward Christian Soldier” promises to be another opportunity to prepare us for sowing good seed for a glorious destiny.

PRAYER POINTS:

Father, we thank You that this year Holy Ghost Congress is a fertile ground to sow seeds of destiny
Father, I thank you that our eyes will be opened in this year Congress to understand the principle of sowing and reaping in Jesus’ name.
Father, for every principle I have transgressed, let mercy reign over judgment in my life, in Jesus’ name. Matthew 7:8
Father, help me to be merciful unto others that I may continually enjoy your mercy in Jesus’ name. James 2:13
Father, give me the grace to forgive others so that I may receive total forgiveness during this year’s Congress in Jesus’ name.
Father, help me not to sow the seed of injustice that I will not reap calamity. Proverbs 22:8.
Father, help me to sow righteousness like Joseph, that I will reap greatness in Jesus’ name. Pro 11:18.
Father, help me to sow faithfulness like Samuel, that I may reap your approval and support in Jesus’ name. 1 Samuel 3:19.
Father, as I invest more time into studying your word, appear to me like you did to Samuel. 1 Samuel 3:21

DAY 8: VICTORY FROM ALL BATTLES DURING THIS YEAR HGC

INTRODUCTION: Life is a battle. As children of Light, we often find ourselves in battle against forces of darkness, however, there are assurances in the scripture that as long as we remain in the light, we are assured that there will be more wins during this year Holy Ghost Congress. May our prayers, strengthen our faith and equip us to stand upright in victory over all enemies in this year Congress in Jesus’ name.

PRAYER POINTS

Father, we thank You for assured victory, by delivering us from the hands of all our enemies in Jesus’ name Psa 34:17
In this year’s Holy Ghost Congress;
Father, strengthen us to stand upright in the face of our enemies, always trusting in Your power for victory in Jesus’ name. Isa 40:31
Father, cover us with Your protection so that no weapon formed against us shall prosper in Jesus’ name.Isa 54:17

DAY 7: PRAYER FOR SAFETY ON OUR WAY TO THE 2024 HGC

INTRODUCTION: Let us intercede as people will begin journeying to the Redemption city for this year Holy Ghost Congress.

Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. Bless His Holy name. Psa 103: 1
Thank God for a new day and for the salvation of your soul
Let us bless the Lord. Truly; it has been of the LORD’S mercies that we were not consumed, because his compassions have not failed us. Lam 3:22 Psa 34:1
Father; thank you for your usual protection over your children in the past Congresses. Deuteronomy 31:6
Father, as your people travel for the Holy Ghost Congress, let your presence go with them in Jesus’ name. Exodus 33:14-15

DAY 6: PRAYER MINISTRY

INTRODUCTION: Prayer is communication between man and divinity. When prayer is
effective it avails much. God wants to do many things on the earth today, but it can only be accomplished through the active prayer ministry of the churches. Through prayers we bring to pass the will of God on earth.

PRAYER POINTS:

Father, thank you for instituting the ministry of prayers and teaching us how to pray in Jesus’ name. Psalm 100:4.
Father, thank you for who you are, the Almighty, the one who speak of a thing and they come into existence in Jesus name. Psalm 95:2-3.
Father, thank you for answering our prayers whenever we call upon you in Jesus’ name. Jeremiah 33:3.
Father, thank you because there is none like unto Thee, glorious in Holiness fearful in praises in Jesus’ name. Exodus 15:11
