OPENING PRAYER: Father, grant me grace to witness changes, the transformation of earthly (perishable) bodies to heavenly ones.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should ask members what the rapture is and what will happen at the rapture.
MEMORY VERSE: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” – John 14:3 (KJV)
BIBLE TEXT: 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 (KJV)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
LESSON INTRODUCTION: In our memory verse, the Lord emphatically confirmed that His death and His physical departure from earth was to prepare a home for the saints in heaven, rapture is an event that will happen whether people like it or not; therefore, be prepared, Jesus will surely come back as He promised. – Numbers 23:19
LESSON AIM: To study the Second Coming of Christ.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to;
- Know about the Second Coming of Christ
- Know the purpose and the manner of His coming
TEXT REVIEW 1: Corinthians 15 51-58
- Not all the believers will die, but all of us, whether dead or alive, will be transformed.
- Those that have died who are Christians will be raised first before we that are alive being transformed.
- Corruptible bodies we are carrying now will be changed to the incorruptible.
- At His appearing in the sky, our victory will be total.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
(1) Jesus will come in power and glory to claim back the kingdom from the devil.
(2) The second coming of Christ will be unfolded after tribulations i.e. a time when everyone will experience worldwide hardship, pains, famine, war, disaster, persecution here and there, suffering which will affect all creation and it will precede judgement of all. Revelation 7:14.
(3) The second coming will be fearful, mournful time for the wicked and sinners who rejected the price of redemption.
(4) It is the time to divide the righteous from the wicked.
(5) It is time to pass judgement on the wicked, the sinners.
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: PURPOSE FOR THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
a. Christ is coming for the bride, the church. Revelation 21:2
b. He is coming to end the pains of His bride, the tribulations and rejections. Revelation 21:4
c. He is coming to put total end to the works of the enemy. The adversary. 1 Peter 5:7.0
d. To fulfil the prophecies both in old and new testament. John 12:38, 15:25.
e. Because Jesus Himself said it, making reference to it during His earthly teaching. Matthew 24. Luke 21
f. To fulfil the testimony of God’s prophecy. Titus 1-2, John 14-17.
g. To present the church glorious without wrinkle to His heavenly Father Eph. 5:27
SUMMARY: Jesus is coming back, so we should be prepared.
CONCLUSION: Christ is coming for the bride, to present the church glorious without wrinkle to His heavenly Father
PRAYER POINT:
- Father, help all believers across the world to be fully inspired to bring more harvest to Your kingdom.
- Father, let your revival begin in all RCCG parishes.
- Father, destroy all spirit of slothfulness manifesting this end time.
- Father, make me an instrument of honour for your end time project.
- Father, send more dedicated harvesters to the field.

TUESDAY: You may have sorrow now, but God will soon end it. John 16:22
WEDNESDAY: Jesus will soon turn all sorrow to joy. John 16:20

FRIDAY: There are occurrences now happening that are the beginning of sorrow. Matthew 24:5-8
SATURDAY: Be of good cheer, Jesus has overcome the world. John 16:33
SUNDAY: Whosoever is born of God is an overcomer. 1 John 5:4
