TOPIC: The Power Of God’s Favour (Scroll down for RCCG House Fellowship 9 November 2025 Anthem)

OPENING PRAYER: Father, please compass me with favour as with a shield in Jesus’ name.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leaders should remind the members of the last topic on eyes have not seen God’s greater plan for His own.

MEMORY VERSE: “For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” – Psalm 5:12 (KJV)

BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 12:2-3 (KJV)

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: God’s favour is God endowing his children with the ability to do extraordinary things which is humanly impossible to do. For example, it is only by God’s favour will procure and experience eternal life, and it is truly by the power of God’s favour that we have the ability to become whom he has ordained us to be.

LESSON AIM: To make members understand the power of God’s favour

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to;

  • Understand how to obtain God’s favour.
  • Know the evidence of God’s favour.

TEXT REVIEW: Genesis 12:2-3.

  • God promised to make His own great and famous.
  • God has the capacity to make His own blessings to others.
  • When someone blesses God’s child that person is blessed.
  • All the families of the earth will be blessed through His own children.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: TO OBTAIN GOD’S FAVOUR

To obtain God’s favour, you must observe the following:

a. Be committed to Jesus Christ, be born again. John 3:16.

b. Be positioned by walking in humility and intimately with God. Genesis 5:22-24.

c. Be obedient to His instructions and details. Genesis 39:8-9

d. Be meek and humble. Numbers 12:3.

e. Be watchful and be prayerful. 1 Peter 3:8, Luke 18:1

LESSON OUTLINE TWO: EVIDENCE OF GOD’S FAVOUR

Evidence of God’s favour can be seen in the lives of people like Noah, Mary, Abraham, Moses, Gideon and Daniel. Some examples of God’s favour include;

  1. Victory over the storm of life. Mark 4:35.
  2. Protection from the wiles of the devil. 2 Peter 2:4-5.
  3. Deliverance from destiny destroyers. Daniel 6:19-20.
  4. Grace received to be called His friend. Isaiah 41:8
  5. Walking in dominion.
  6. Seeing God’s Glory. Moses was blessed with seeing God’s glory. Genesis 33:11

OTHER WAYS TO SEE THE EVIDENCE OF GOD’S FAVOUR.

a. Feeling God’s favour when communing with Him. Romans 8:14.

b. Enjoying His unfailing presence. Hebrews 13:5, Psalms 16:11

c. Knowing that nothing can happen to you apart from God’s good purpose. Jer.29:11.

d. Having access to divine information and undeserved privileges

SUMMARY: God’s Favour can not be hidden

CONCLUSION: When God’s favour locates someone, people will see the evidence, and anything is possible. The power of God’s favour will cause someone to walk in dominion, exceeding limitations, being announced to destiny helpers and reaching the greatest height one can never dream of.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, begin your revival in all our house fellowship centres.
  2. Father, stop every fire of hatred, rebellion in the Christian fold.
  3. Father, make this year, year of rewards for all the loyal army in God’s business.
  4. Father, every unprofitable servant be uprooted or changed for new forces with impacts.
  5. Father, disgrace and disappoint all oppositions to vision 2032.

MONDAY: It is time for victory over the storm of life. Mark 4:35.
