Topic – Righteousness: A Shield of Protection
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. Proverbs 11:8
Many people kick against holiness preachers. In today’s Church, when you practice holiness, are tag as an old school not modern day believer. The truth remain, holiness cannot be outdated till Jesus returns. When God said in His word that you must be holy even as He is holy (1 Pt 1:15-16), it’s for your good not for His. One thing you must know is that, holiness is a shield of protection against evil arrows of the enemies. Holiness acts as bulletproof against the enemy’s plague from coming to you. When the enemy throw an evil arrow against a child of God, but couldn’t penetrate because of holiness, it doesn’t go back without fulfilling its blood sucking mission, instead, it goes to the unrighteous fellow and pierce him/her. While righteousness is a shield of protection, unrighteousness opens door for enemy’s attack.
The burning fiery furnace was heated for the purpose of killing the three righteous Jews boys, but they were protected by the shield of righteousness. Since the fire must kill, the men that threw them inside the fire were slayed as substitute. Dan. 3:16-27. If you are living unrighteous life, then you are a substitute for every problem the righteous escape.
