Topic: Open Doors Through Soul Winning [Seeds of Destiny 16 July 2018 Daily Devotional]
Scripture: Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 2:12.
Thought For The Day: Doors open when you do what you need to do to open them, and one of those things to do is soul winning.
Life most times, does not give you what you deserve; life gives you what you demand. This means, no door opens unto you because you deserve it but because you place a demand on it.
Now, one of the demands of open door is the lifestyle of evangelism and soul winning. Soul winners experience open doors in all realms.
Now, what are the dimensions of evangelism or soul winning that opens door?
1. Lifestyle Evangelism
This is a situation where a person’s godly lifestyle preaches more than his words. It is when what one does not say is more impactful than what he says (Acts 11:26). The highest form of preaching is where your life or action preaches more audibly and positively than your words. There are many people whose actions drown their voice; how they live cancels out and contradicts what they say. This ought not to be so.
2. Testimony Evangelism
This is when you let people know practical testimonies of the Acts and Goodness of God in your life or in the lives of other people (John 4:28-29).
3. Word Evangelism
This is where you use the word to preach the gospel (Mark 16:15).God admonishes us to go into our neighbourhoods and beyond to preach the gospel.
Beloved, I would like you to know that our God does not struggle with opening doors; doors open when you do what you need to do to open them, and one of those things to do is soul-winning.
Beloved, endeavour to win souls today and you would begin to experience open doors in all realms.
Remember this: Doors open when you do what you ought to do to open them, and one of those things to do is soul-winning.
Assignments:
1. Live a life of positive character that preaches more than words.
2. Tell people of the practical Acts of God in your life and in the lives of others that are proofs of the reality and Goodness of God.
3. Determine to preach the gospel to the lost around you.
Prayer: O Lord, I ask for the grace to live a life of positive character that preaches more than words. Help me to tell people of Your wondrous acts, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
