SCRIPTURE: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. – Acts 20:35
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You don’t know the joy of living until you know the joy of giving.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
Our anchor Scripture shows us the importance of giving, that it is more blessed to give than to receive. There is something that keeps the lover loving and the giver giving: it is called the joy of giving, and the blessedness of release.
You don’t know the joy of living until you know the joy of giving. You don’t understand the real joy of living until you understand what it means to make life better for other people.
I remember when we travelled to Makurdi to preach some time ago. A young lady came to greet me and introduced herself. I did not know her until my wife reminded me that she and her sister had been on our personal scholarship after they lost one of their parents.
At this point, one of them had already graduated and secured a job in a bank, while the other was still in school. After hearing this, my joy shifted to another level. After our initial meeting, the graduate later returned to appreciate God with her first fruit offering. There is nothing in this world that compares with that kind of joy. The joy of seeing lives impacted and transformed by our generosity.
Some time ago, I was passing through Area One in Abuja (where our Church’s headquarters was previously located), a young lady ran to me and said, “I was on your scholarship. You were the one who sent me to school.” I asked what she studied, and she said, “Education.” At this time, she had not yet secured a job, so I asked her to submit her CV so we could assist her. The joy of seeing lives impacted and changed positively cannot be bought with money.
On another occasion, while empowering widows, one woman received her package and simply lifted her hands and exclaimed, “Jesus! Jesus!” The sight overwhelmed me, and I burst into tears. I realised that what looked little to some of us meant the whole world to her. That day, I made up my mind to help as many people as God would enable me to help for as long as He lends me the breath of life.
We also went to a village where people had lived for over two hundred years without portable drinking water. River blindness was common amongst the villagers because of their consumption of contaminated water. When clean water finally flowed from the borehole we provided for them, the chief of the village said it was the first time in over two centuries that they had safe drinking water. Just seeing their joy at that time was enough reward for me.
Beloved, start from where you are. You don’t need to be a billionaire to impact lives. You may not have financial assistance to give, but you can give prayer, encouragement, counsel, wisdom, and hope. Sometimes, all that someone needs is a phone call, a message, or a word of encouragement, etc.
You never know whose life might be saved simply because you responded to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Exercise yourself in giving and maintain consistency.
REMEMBER THIS: You don’t know the joy of living until you know the joy of giving.

- Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit to encourage, pray for, or assist someone in need.
- Make giving and impacting lives a lifestyle.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the light of Your Word to me today. I receive grace to be a channel of Your love and blessing. Help me to impact lives consistently, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
