SCRIPTURE: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The life of God that man lost through sin, God recovered through the gift of His Son.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
One of the greatest secrets a believer can understand is what it means to carry and function with the Life of God. This revelation transforms how you see yourself and how you live. God’s objective is not just to save us but to enable us to function with His Life from the inside.
In the beginning, God made man in His Image and Likeness (Genesis 1:26–27). Man was not created to be ordinary; he was created as a carrier of God’s Image. Genesis 2:7 tells us that God breathed into man’s nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Job 33:4 confirms, The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life. From creation, man carried the Breath and Life of God within him.
But something devastating happened: man lost the Life of God through sin and disobedience. God had earlier commanded, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:16–17).
Man ate the fruit, and two terrible things happened: First, the glory of God that covered man was taken off (Romans 3:23).
Second, death occurred: “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Though physically alive, man had spiritually died; the life of God was gone.
The question then is: How do we recover that Life of God? In today’s study, we shall be looking at two ways in which we can recover the Life of God that was lost.
- By Being Born Again.
John 3:16 reminds us that whoever believes in Jesus “should not perish but have everlasting life.” Only the person who is born again can have the Life of God.
John 10:10 says, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 1:12 reveals that to those who received Him, He gave “power to become the sons of God.” That is, He gave them the power to be carriers of His Life, the Life of God. Jesus declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life… No man comes unto the Father but by me” (John 14:6). The Life of God comes from Jesus.
- By walking in Communion and Fellowship with God.
John 15:5 says, “I am the vine, ye are the branches… Abide in me. Abide in God so He can abide in you.” If you commune with Him; He connects with you. Our prayers, worship, and time in His presence are channels of our connection to His Life. Without this fellowship, we cannot function with the Life of God we have received through Jesus Christ.
REMEMBER THIS: The Life of God that man lost through sin, God recovered through the gift of His Son.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Meditate on Genesis 2:7 and John 3:16 side by side today — see the life God breathed into man at creation and the same life He restored through His Son, Jesus Christ.
- Identify one area of your life where you have been living below your identity as a carrier of God’s Life and make a deliberate decision to align your thinking with what Scripture says about you.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for restoring the Life of God in me through Jesus Christ. I receive the revelation of who I am as a carrier of Your Life and Glory. Help me to think, speak, and live in accordance with this reality every day, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
