TOPIC: The Voice Behind The Verse (Seeds Of Destiny 17 March 2022)
SCRIPTURE: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. Jeremiah 7:23
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Behind every line of Scripture, there is a voice; and that voice is the Transformer.
It has been established that the Word of God is designed for both the welfare and progress of man. God did not just give us the Bible as a religious Book.

When the children of Israel refused to listen to the Word of God, they went backwards instead of going forward (Jeremiah 7:24). So, the proof of the knowledge of the Word is not the number of scriptures a person can quote but to what extent his/her life went forward spiritually, morally and in every way since he/she met Christ and encountered God’s Word?
I have noticed several progresses in my life, my walk with God, my character and general welfare on earth since I encountered God and His Word. I have seen positive changes even in the level of grace by reason of insight.
The question is, if the Word of God is calculated for our welfare, why is it that many people are carrying the Bible and there is no observable progress in their lives?
The truth is, it is not just looking at a verse of the Bible and memorizing it that changes your life; it is encountering the voice behind the verse. Every man who encounters revelation that changes his life does not just look at the line of Scripture. Behind every line of Scripture, there is a voice; and that voice is the Transformer.
Remember this: Behind every line of Scripture, there is a voice; and that voice is the Transformer.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Make demands on the Voice behind the verse anytime you read or study the Word of God.
- Expect to be blessed by the Word whenever you listen to or read the Word of God.
- Value God’s Word.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for the privilege of accessing Your Word. I ask Lord that You open my ear to Your Voice behind the verses in the Scriptures, and let it transform my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
