THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Loveless hearts are behind sinful lives.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
It has been established that quality character is the bedrock of solid destiny. If a person desires a great destiny, upholding quality character is a non-negotiable factor.
Many people want to please God with their lives and live a life of character, but they are being confronted with many hindrances.

In our study today, we shall be looking at a few hindrances to Godly character, commonly referred to as enemies of Godly character.
- The wrong association.
Nothing corrupts character like the wrong company. Godly character can either be corrupted by the wrong company or corrected by the right company.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:33, “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
This means a good person can become a bad person because of the wrong association. You may be very good until you run into a terrible person.
- Lack of love for both God and man.
Loveless hearts are behind sinful lives. When the heart is bankrupt of love for God, living sinfully is not hard.
Mark 12:29-31 says, And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
If you love God and love your neighbor, you don’t need to remember the commandments; you will live out the commandments naturally. You don’t want to hurt your neighbor if you have the love of God domiciled in your heart.
- Comparison with others (2 Corinthians 10:12).
When you compare yourself with others, you are likely to err from the truth.
Beloved, it is better to take a stand for good, even if you have to stand alone. For example, Joseph and David all stood alone.
You may be a highly disciplined person until you start associating with some people who are careless and compromising. You must avoid the wrong company at all costs if you want to maintain Godly character.
REMEMBER THIS: Loveless hearts are behind sinful lives.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Avoid all the hindrances to Godly character.
- Always apply for the help of God to do the right thing.
PRAYER: Father, saturate my heart with Your Love. Help me to love as You do. Separate me from the things that hinder me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
