TOPIC: The Character Of Faithfulness (Seeds Of Destiny 26 June 2022)
SCRIPTURE: So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned, with Joseph there he didn’t worry about a thing except what kind of food to eat. Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man. Genesis 39:6 (NLT).
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: People who have the character of trustworthiness and faithfulness are scarce on earth.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today MESSAGE:
The character of faithfulness is critical to life and destiny. No wonder, Joseph, a man of great destiny and influence displayed the character of faithfulness and trustworthiness on his way to the top. The Scripture attested to his character of faithfulness and reliability. No wonder he fulfilled a great destiny.
Genesis 39:6 says:
And he left all that he had in Joseph’s hands, and he knew not what he had except the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person and well favoured.

The New Living Translation of the Bible renders Genesis 39:6 thus:
So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned, with Joseph there he didn’t worry about a thing except what kind of food to eat. Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man.
Joseph’s handsomeness was not an excuse for corruption. It was not a license for loose and filthy living.
One day, I asked God, “Lord, why is it that the quality of people like Joseph are very scarce today?” It was a concern. And the Lord showed me that people like Joseph are very few on the earth today. People, who have the character of trustworthiness and faithfulness, are scarce on earth. It is frightening how scarce these people are. Psalm 12:1.
You see, the character of faithfulness is a best-selling character on earth.
I want you to know that the character of faithfulness or trustworthiness is better than charisma, certificate or connections. What your faithfulness would do for you is higher than what your charisma, certificate and connection can do for you. Make up your mind to develop the character of faithfulness and trustworthiness.
REMEMBER THIS: People who have the character of trustworthiness and faithfulness are scarce on earth.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Make up your mind to be faithful in everything you do.
- Refuse to be crooked in your dealings with people.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to maintain a lifestyle of faithfulness and trustworthiness like Joseph, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
