TOPIC: The Danger Of Fear (Seeds Of Destiny 28 December 2025)
SCRIPTURE: For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quiet; yet trouble came. Job 3:25–26.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever the devil wants you to fear is what he is planning to do.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2025 MESSAGE
Our anchor scripture reveals that fear is a major attraction for disaster and evil. Fear is faith in reverse; it believes more in the devil’s power to harm than in God’s power to protect.
Fear is dangerous. It is the forerunner of trouble, evil and disaster. For instance, the moment Job welcomed fear, trouble came (Job 3:25).
Now, what is fear?
Someone once defined fear as an acronym for False Evidence Appearing Real.
F is for False,
E for Evidence,
A for Appearing, and
R for Real.
I also want to say that fear is
F-False
E-Expectations
A-Attracted to
R-Reality.
Fear is characterized by negative anticipation and expectation. It is a situation where the mind is overwhelmed with the idea that something may go wrong at any time.
Beloved, please take note of the following:
- You attract what you expect, and you precipitate what you anticipate. Fear is a magnet; what people expect cannot be avoided.
- Fear is faith in reverse.
You know how you drive a car forward? That is how faith is. But fear operates in the reverse gear.
The question is: driving forward or driving backward, which is safer? Of course, it is driving forward. So, faith is safer than fear.
Fear is faith in reverse; it is faith in the devil’s ability and capacity. It is having faith that what the devil plans to do will succeed. It is faith in the devil’s wickedness more than in the faithfulness of God. But that devil is a liar!
- Fear is a sinker of life and destiny.
Fear sinks people’s lives and destinies. Peter walked on the water in Matthew 14:30–31 for a while, but when he saw the wind boisterous, he became afraid and began to sink immediately. He cried out, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? So, fear is the companion of doubt and unbelief.
Remember, Jesus did not ask Peter, “Why did you fear?” Rather, He asked him, “Why did you doubt?”

An easy way to know what the devil wants to do in your life is by identifying the things he makes you fear.
Whatever the devil wants you to fear is what he is planning to do. Fear gives the devil the permission to operate just as faith gives God the permission to act.
So, beloved, confront fear squarely. Confront it with the Word of God. Deal with it using Word-based and faith-filled declarations. Deal with it in prayer, and it will disappear.
Remember This: Whatever the devil wants you to fear is what he is planning to do.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Identify areas in your life where fear has held you back and replace those fears with faith powered by revelation from God’s Word.
- Meditate daily on Scriptures that build confidence in God’s faithfulness, Power and Protection.
- Declare the Word of faith whenever fear tries to rise. Never agree with fear
PRAYER: Lord, I reject every spirit of fear in my life. Fill me with unshakable faith and confidence in Your Word, Lord, in Jesus Name.
