TOPIC: Laziness – A Sure Pathway To Poverty (Seeds Of Destiny 29 April 2022)
SCRIPTURE: He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. Proverbs 10:4.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Many people blame witchcraft for their poverty in life whereas it is “lazycraft” that is responsible for their predicament.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today MESSAGE:
The Scripture makes it clear that laziness is the pathway to poverty (Proverbs 10:4).
This is very true! Even if a rich man becomes lazy, he would eventually become poor, because to slack is to lack.
A lazy man may say, “I like this BMW 10 series car. Oh, this car can fly! That is my car!” Yet, he is not working. He just stands by the roadside looking at cars as they pass. He does not even have a tyre. The truth is, he is only left with desires. A wise man said, “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”.

A diligent man on the other hand, eventually stands before kings, not before mean men (Proverbs 22:29). That shows that to be diligent is to be eminent; to be diligent is to be prosperous and prominent. To be diligent means to give out your best. That is, the best of all you have got to offer. Diligence is the way of abundance, eminence and prominence. But indolence will assist shortage and empty-handedness because your work determines your worth.
Sometime ago, I heard, from Bishop David Oyedepo, a story about a clerk. This clerk would go to work 30 minutes before the official resumption time and do messengers’ work in addition to his regular job description. After everyone had closed, he would remain there doing extra work.
One day, the Managing Director of the company called him to clean an office for a new General Manager (GM) of the company. When he finished cleaning the office, the MD, a white man, said to him, “That is your new office. You are now the new General Manager (GM) of this company”
You see, a messenger became a General Manager at the frequency of massive and diligent work. Many people blame witchcraft for their poverty in life whereas it is “lazycraft” that is responsible for their predicament.

ASSIGNMENTS:
- Reject the spell and plague of indolence. Delete laziness from your life.
- Embrace hard diligent work in all you do.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the plague of laziness. I receive the grace to work diligently, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
