SCRIPTURE: This twenty years have I been with thee; thy ewes and thy she goats have not cast their young, and the rams of thy flock have I not eaten. That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee; I bare the loss of it; of my hand didst thou require it, whether stolen by day, or stolen by night. Genesis 31:38-39.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE
It has been confirmed in Scripture and through life experiences that there is dignity in labour. Truly, the hand of the diligent makes one rich, but the slothful will be poor (Proverbs 10:4).
In Proverbs 14:23, we see that in all labour, there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.
Some young people in this new generation are just moving about with their hands in their pockets, looking for how to become rich overnight. Some say, “I have paid my tithe and have given my offering. I am waiting for God to do His part.”
Beloved, you may expect that kind of miracle in casinos or lotteries, which mostly end up enslaving you with the expectation that you are going to win someday. You sell your house and everything, and at the end of the day, you win a little, and then you say, “Let me win more.” And before you realised it, they have taken everything from you. No! It does not work that way.
There is a labour dimension to the realization of the Blessing. For example, Jacob, even though he was a direct heir to the Covenant Blessing of Abraham, became richer than his master Laban by resilient spirit and brutal labour.
What about Isaac? In Genesis 26:12-14, the Bible says, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
In Genesis 26:18-22, Isaac reopened his father’s wells, which the Philistines had filled up. His servants dug a new well in the valley, but Gerar’s herdsmen quarrelled over it, leading Isaac to name it Esek (dispute). They dug another well, sparking more conflict. So, Isaac moved on and dug a third well, this time, free of strife, and he named it Rehoboth.
Beloved, it is when you engage the enemy like a fight that you arrive at your place of enlargement.
Enlargement of territory happens with the engagement of the enemy. You need to work your way up and fight poverty. You fight the demons of your family that want you to end in wretchedness or die prematurely like others. Until work becomes a fight, you don’t take a flight.
You pursue the matter like a fight and declare, “Satan, whether you like it or not, I can not be empty-handed.” When one door tries to close, you move and face another one until you wear the devil out by your tenacity.
REMEMBER THIS: Until work becomes a fight, you don’t take a flight.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Prayerfully and brutally engage the enemy like a fight.
- Make up your mind to work hard and work smart; fight poverty legitimately with everything you have got.
- Refuse to be indolent.
- Never give up!
PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive the impartation of a resilient, fighting spirit and the capacity for brutal labour, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
