Topic: Take God Inspired Action 2 [17/2/2016]
Text: Ephesians 5:15-17
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. – Isaiah 30:21
God always come good for us when we need Him. He is always willing to help us with the ideas and directions to move us from one level of victory to another. He is trustworthy to those that will put their trust in Him. This is very important. We must learn to trust God’s direction even as we acknowledge him in all our ways.
Joshua, in Joshua 5 and 6 had an encounter with God. The children of Israel were faced with the challenge of getting pass the City of Jericho which had a very high impenetrable wall. But the Lord told Joshua to get the people to match round the city for seven days, and then shout at the blast of the trumpet to bring down the walls of the city.
Logically, there is no relationship between matching round and shouting with bringing down a wall. I am sure the people of Jericho might have been laughing at the Israelites for their seeming folly, but that is the difference with taking God inspired actions. It might seem foolish to man’s wisdom, but you know God uses the foolish things to shame the wise. Get that direction from God and pursue it wholeheartedly even though men are laughing at you. You will rejoice at the end.
Once it’s God’s idea, a swift action brings victory. Keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, I do not despise Your directions even if to the eyes of men it is foolishness. But like Joshua, I take the directive and I know victory is sure at the end, in Jesus name.
