Topic: When He Commands [Teens Open Heaven 29 September 2018]

Memorise: And the LORD spake unto Moses, go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, let my people go, that they may serve Me. – Exodus 8:1 Read: Isaiah 49:24-26 (KJV) Bible In One Year: Isaiah 16-18, Ephesians 1 MESSAGE: Whenever God speaks, it could be an advice, appeal or command. After placing life and death before the people in Deuteronomy 30:19, He told them to choose life so that they and their children may live; that was an advice. When He said “Come let us reason together” in Isaiah 1:18, that was an appeal. But when He said “Let there be light” it was a command. When God commands, it is instantly done. When He commands, nobody can stop or withstand Him. You can stand to enjoy inexplicable benefits when you are in a good relationship with this God whose commands never fail. He will command failure, disappointment, sickness and poverty to let you go. Key Point: You have to obey God’s commandment before His commands will work to your advantage. While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Chorus: Trust and obey, for there’s no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey. 3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey. 4.But we never can prove the delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey. 5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.
