Topic: Have Your Way, Lord [Teens Open Heavens 5 October 2018]
Memorise: But our God is in the heavens: He hath done whatsoever He hath pleased. Psalm 115:3
Read: Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)
Bible In One Year: Isaiah 31-33, Philippians 1
MESSAGE:
A usual hindrance to miracles is having a preconceived idea of how it will come. In 2 Kings 5:11-12, Naaman had already concluded how he would get his miracle. He had forgotten that the miracle will come from God and not him. According to Psalm 115:3, God does as He pleases.
I have observed that in making their requests known to God, people also dictate the ways in which they want their request to come. In most cases, it is as a result of pride. God does not answer your requests to fatten your pride or ego, but to take the glory, let God have His way, leave Him to bring you your requests whatever way He wants.
Prayer Point: Father, please have your way in my life. I believe that your way and timing for answers to my requests are in my best interest

Hymn 7:
1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!
4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
