Memorise: Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12

Read: John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Bible In One Year: Numbers 26-27, Mark 8:22-38

MESSAGE:

In the beginning when God made the world, He made material things to be used by human beings, He never made human beings to use each other. But these days, we see people using other people to get material things. This is wrong.

The devil is the first person to ever use a human being – he used Eve to make the human race fall out of God’s plan. The devil is the first cunning and deceptive person. Anyone who is cunning and deceptive is only taking after the devil. God wants us to love each other while the devil wants us to use each other. According to Matthew 22:39, Jesus tells that the second greatest commandment is to love our neighbors as we love ourselves – you don’t use and manipulate people that you love. Don’t use your friends, parents or siblings for your selfish purpose. The truth is, real joy comes when the people around you are also happy.

Key Point: When you use people to make yourself happy at their own detriment, what you experience is temporary happiness and that is of the devil

Hymn 13:

1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

2. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross?

3. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation
To those who are dying in sin?

4. We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win
