Topic: Say No To Suicide [Open Heavens for Teens 19 February 2019]

Memorise: “Thou shall not kill.” – Exodus 20:13

Read: Acts 1:16-20

16 Brethren, he said, it was necessary that the Scripture be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit foretold by the lips of David, about Judas who acted as guide to those who arrested Jesus.

17 For he was counted among us and received [by divine allotment] his portion in this ministry.

18 Now this man obtained a piece of land with the [money paid him as a] reward for his treachery and wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle [of his body] and all his intestines poured forth.

19 And all the residents of Jerusalem became acquainted with the facts, so that they called the piece of land in their own dialect–Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.

20 For in the book of Psalms it is written, Let his place of residence become deserted and gloomy, and let there be no one to live in it; and [again], Let another take his position or overseership.

Bible In One Year: Numbers 1-2, Mark 3:1-21

MESSAGE:

With the recent news of teenagers being under the demonic oppression of suicide, it is important that we discuss suicide. Suicide is intentionally causing one’s own death. The thought of suicide is a demonic one and should not be allowed in your mind at all. You must counter such thoughts with prayers and visits to a God fearing counsellor. Make sure you talk to someone about it. If you are under any demonic pressure of such, I rebuke that evil spirit to loose its hold over your life now in Jesus’ name. You shall not die. Every plan of untimely death for you is cancelled now in Jesus’ name. Anyone taking cigarette or alcohol is also attempting suicide. This is slow suicide.

Eternal hell is the dwelling place for those who commit suicide. Do you know that the devil deceives some people into thinking that what they are going through is the highest form of suffering, and they should end it all and go to rest in death? But the Holy Bible says there is no rest for the wicked. Instead of rest, they will find themselves in burning hell; this time the suffering and pain will be forever. Say no to suicide, every life is precious to God.

Action Point:

Reach out to someone you know who is going through a tough time and show them the love of God today. Your action may just save a life from the hands of the devil.

Hymn 10:

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
    All our sins and griefs to bear!
    What a privilege to carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
    O what peace we often forfeit,
    O what needless pain we bear,
    All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged;
    Take it to the Lord in prayer!
    Can we find a Friend so faithful?
    Who will all our sorrows share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness,
    Take it to the Lord in prayer!
  3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
    Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Savior, still our refuge,
    Take it to the Lord in prayer.
    Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
    Take it to the Lord in prayer!
    In His arms He’ll take and shield You;
    You wilt find a solace there.
