Topic: What Goes Up, Must Come Down [Teens’ Open Heavens Wednesday 21, March 2018]
Memorise: The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. – Psalm 34:10
Read: Mark 5:22-24
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
Bible In One Year: Joshua 4-6, Luke 2:1-24
MESSAGE:
Rain can fall because something had earlier gone up. Psalm 67:5-7 says that when praise go up, blessings will come down. You can load your clouds through the offering of high praises to God. When worship goes up, healing comes down. Check the Bible and you will notice that almost everyone who got a major healing from God started by worshipping Him. In Matthew 8:1-3, the leper first worshipped Jesus and he was healed. If you don’t know how to give God quality worship, you will be robbing yourself of several benefits.
Similarly, when prayers go up, deliverance comes down. If only you can pray, deliverance will come to you, your family and your loved ones. When obedience goes up, the good of the land will come down. When you seek the Lord, Psalm 34:10 says abundance will come down. When repentance goes up, forgiveness will come down. What are you sending up?
Key Point: What you send up should be determined by what you want to come down.

Hymn 16
1. Christian, seek not yet repose,
Hear thy gracious Savior say;
Thou art in the midst of foes:
Watch and pray.
2. Principalities and power,
Mustering their unseen array,
Wait for the unguarded hours:
Watch and pray.
3. Gird the heavenly armor on,
Wear it ever night and day;
Ambushed lies the evil one:
Watch and pray.
4. Hear the victors who o’ercame,
Still they mark each warriors’s way;
All with one sweet voice exclaim,
Watch and pray.
5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
Him thou loves to obey;
Hide within thy heart His word:
Watch and pray.
6. Watch, as if on that alone
Hung the issue of the day;
Pray, that help may be sent down:
Watch and pray.
