Memorise: But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: 1 Peter 2:9

Read: Daniel 3:1-18 (KJV)

Bible In One Year: Ezekiel 38-39, 1 Peter 4

MESSAGE:

It would interest you to know that God wants you to be outstanding. Why? First, it is because God does not make copies. God is so great that He does not have to repeat any of His creations. Everyone He created is an original mould. One reason demands are made for your finger prints when you apply for visa is because, all over the world, there are no two finger prints that are exactly the same; not even those of identical twins.

God created you an original mould, but sin will make you into a carbon copy of your original self. So rather than standing out and being the light and a role model to your peers, sin will make you join bandwagon of darkness and irrelevance. Whenever anyone invites you to join him or her to sin, tell the fellow that God made you original and special, hence you cannot reshape yourself into their sinful mould.

Key Point: Do not be ashamed or scared to stand out and be different. Say a resounding NO to sin at all times. You are indeed not like the rest.

Hymn 11:

1. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the Cross!
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished,
And Christ is Lord indeed.

2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
The solemn watchword hear;
If while yelling sleep he suffers,
Away with shame and fear.
Where’re yeah meet with evil,
Within you or without,
Charge for the God of battles,
And put the foe to rout.

3. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armour,
And watching unto prayer;
Where duty calls, or danger,
Be never wanting there.

4. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
The next the victor’s song.
To him that overcometh
A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
Shall reign eternally.
