Teens’ Open Heavens 14th November 2017 by Pastor Adeboye - Facing Trials Of Faith?

Topic: Facing Trials Of Faith? [Tuesday 14, November 2017]

Memorise: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

Read: Hebrews 11:36-40

36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Bible In One Year: Acts 6-7. Hymn: Sing Hymn 4: Take My Life And Let It Be

MESSAGE:

As a Christian, at one point or the the order; your love for God will be tested. Because of your belief in Christ, people will say all kinds of things against you. There will be false accusations against you despite your level of commitment to your assignment. No matter how good your intentions may be, sometimes, they may be spoken of in an evil way.

Many times these tribulations, trials and persecutions will come from quarters you least expect. You should not be bothered because the same people who hailed Jesus at the triumphant entry were the same people, who cried “crucify Him”.

Have you been persecuted because of your faith and your Holy living? I congratulate you, because you are fulfilling your part of the Christian calling. You will finish well in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point: Father, give me victory over every trials I come across.

Sing Hymn 4: Take My Life And Let It Be

1. Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.
