Topic: Spiritual Warfare I [Wednesday 27, December 2017]

Memorise: (“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;”)  – 2 Corinthians 10:4

Read: Ephesians 6:10-15

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Bible In One Year: Revelation 4-7. Hymn: Sing Hymn 9: My Faith Has Found Resting A Place

MESSAGE:

Life is full of battles. This is confirmed by the Word of God in Job 5:7 which says that man is born into trouble. What determines whether you will be a victim or victor in the battles of life is who you choose as your all. The book of 2 Corinthians 10:4 says:

(“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;”)

All we need is to be equipped with the Word of God, live a holy life, and have strong faith in the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you struggling with sin? Start a fight against the bandage of sin. The Lord who rescued Paul and the Gadarene will give you victory over sin and your flesh today in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point: Father, please fight my battles and defend my cause in Jesus’ Name.

Sing Hymn 9: My Faith Has Found Resting A Place

My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device or creed;
I trust the ever living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.

Chorus:
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He’ll never cast me out.
Chorus:

My heart is leaning on the Word,
The living Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s Name,
Salvation through His blood.
Chorus:

My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.
Chorus.
