Topic: Power In The Blood [Teens’ Open Heavens Tuesday 27th, February 2018]

Memorise: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. – Revelation 12:11

Read: Revelation 12:10-11

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Bible In One Year: Numbers 18-20, Mark 7:1-13

MESSAGE:

The Word of God works in all situations, especially when the user has satisfied every requirement. If you are making a request and you are at the same time living in sin, particularly in secret sin, your sinful state can negatively impact your prayers. Similarly, when you want to fight the enemy, and you want to use the Word of God as a weapon, quote it correctly or it may not work for you. Satan knows the letters of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, so he knows whenever you misquote scriptures and can take advantage of that. In Matthew 4:1-11, when Jesus came face to face with the devil in the wilderness, He engaged the word saying, ‘it is written.’ How often do you engage the sword of the Spirit? How correctly do you quote the scripture when engaged in warfare?

Moreover, a major weapon available to soldiers in God’s army is the blood of Jesus. If only you can see into the spiritual realm, then you will appreciate the power of the blood of Jesus. Arise and cover yourself, family and everything you have with the blood of Jesus.

Action Point: Attack the enemy with the Blood of Jesus

Hymn 8:

1. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.

2. Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light,
Nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might;
Thy justice like mountains high soaring above,
Thy clouds which are fountains of goodness and love.

3. To all life thou givest, to both great and small;
In all life Thou livest, the true life of all;
We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree,
And wither and perish-but nought changeth Thee.

4. Great Father of Glory, pure Father of Light,
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight;
All laud we would render; o help us to see;
‘Tis only the splendour of light hideth Thee.

5. Immortal, invisible, God only wise,
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of days,
Almighty, victorious, Thy great name we praise.
