Topic: Be Time Conscious [Open Heavens for Teens 29 June 2019]

Memorise: “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalms 90:12

Read: Psalms 90:12-15

12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

13 Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

Bible In One Year: Job 16-18, Acts 9:1-22

MESSAGE:

It is very important that we understand the concept of time. We should have it at the back of our minds that just like we came to the earth, we will leave some day. This is why you need to use your time well. What you spend your time on will determine where you find yourself later in life.

Asides achieving your earthy goals, you must always make sure that you are time conscious when it comes to the things of God. Every time you achieve a part of the heavenly goals or purpose that God has assigned for you, you are being applauded in Heaven. When you are the teacher of a Sunday School class and you go there on time to pray for your students coming to fellowship with you, God is pleased with you. When you are where you should be, doing what God wants you to do per time, it becomes hard for the enemy to get you or attack you. I pray you begin to use your time wisely in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point:
O Lord, help me to always be time conscious.

Hymn 6:

  1. Our God, our help in ages past,
    Our hope for years to come,
    Our shelter from the stormy blast,
    And our eternal home:
  2. Under the shadow of your throne
    Your saints have dwelt secure;
    Sufficient is your arm alone,
    And our defense is sure
  3. Before the hills in order stood
    Or earth received its frame,
    From everlasting you are God,
    To endless years the same.
  4. A thousand ages in your sight
    Are like an evening gone
    Short as the watch that ends the night
    Before the rising sun.
  5. Time, like an ever-rolling stream,
    Soon bears us all away;
    We fly forgotten, as a dream
    Does at the opening day.
  6. Our God, our help in ages past,
    Our hope for years to come,
    Still be our guard while troubles last,
    And our eternal home!
