Topic: What Are You Seeing [TREM Devotional 13 November 2018]

“And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17 KJV

What do you see in the midst of your challenging situation? And what are you getting? What you are getting depends on what you see. So what are you seeing? From our scriptural passage for today, let’s consider some questions. Was it when Elishah spoke that those that were with them showed up? Was it that time that the chariots of fire came into being? No! They were already there. The Lord merely opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant to see what has been made available. May God open your eyes to see.

You see, one of the tragedies of the fall of man is that through the fall, we lost our spiritual sight. We stopped seeing the way God sees. That is one of the tragedies of our fall. That is why one of the greatest things that will happen to a child of God after he is born again is to have a mind renewal. It is mind renewal that positions you to begin to see the way God sees. If you see what He has made available, you will get it.

The Bible is littered with men and women who could see beyond their immediate circumstances. And because they saw what God has made available to them in the midst of devastating circumstances, they could actualize it. What you see will give you impetus and the spiritual energy to go for it.

This season I declare that God will do the unusual in your life. He is bigger than any limitation the world places upon you. There is no challenge that withstands the power of grace and mercy in your life. Whatever is assigned to sabotage your destiny is terminated today. You must have your testimony. When others are covered with darkness, your light will shine forth.
