“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:” – Galatians 3:13 KJV

Walking in the reality of what Christ has purchased for you completely changes everything about you. You are no more beggarly in your prayers. You pray as a king. King’s decree things and they are established. And in Christ, we are kings and priests. And the Bible says you are to reign on the earth. In Christ, we are blessed. Jesus became a curse for us. That is why He hung on a tree. No sin was found in Him but He took our sin and He became a curse. Any one that hangs on a tree is cursed. He became a curse so that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles and that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The reason Jesus was cursed is that you may be blessed. Anything less than the blessing is not acceptable. In Christ, you are blessed. So when you sing that song: “Abraham’s blessings are mine”, you should understand what you are singing. It all happened because of Jesus. The covenant that God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob still extends to you because of Jesus.

Galatians 3:27 tells us that “as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ”(NKJV). And verse 29 of the same chapter says: “And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” The truth is that you are not ordinary! What you have going for you is bigger. So, you must not pay the devil any attention. Do not open up your living room for him to dance around. He is a defeated foe and he stands defeated. The greatest honour you can do to Jesus is to accept the benefits for which He paid the price on your behalf and say ‘they are mine!’ Healing is mine! The fruit of the womb is mine! Praise God!
