“Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts” 2 Corinthians 1:22 (KJV)
When you received Christ in your life, you were sealed! There is a seal over your life. There is a price over you and now you belong to God. You do not belong to the devil. You do not belong to sickness! You do not belong to disease. You do not belong to anything that hell has to offer. You have been sealed to progress in life. You have been sealed to advance, sealed to expand, sealed to increase, sealed never to allow the devil to touch you with sickness or disease, sealed and kept secret from whatever the devil is doing.
Now you belong to God. And what the King has sealed may no one reverse. It is a settled matter. The seal of God over your life nullifies the agenda of the devil.
Everyone who has received Christ as his Lord and saviour has the holy spirit living inside him as a down payment. That is the evidence that we belong to God. That is what it is! We have a down payment. The seal is a guarantee! The seal is a certification and an authorization that we belong to God. So, no one can touch you except the One who owns you authorizes it.
“Now he that hath wrought us for the self-same thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:” (2 Corinthians 5: 5-6 KJV)
So, you see why it is important that you know this truth. It produces confidence in you. When you are walking in the midst of fire there is a kind of confidence you have that somehow the fire will not burn you because you know in whom you have believed. You can walk boldly! You can make demand on your right boldly without any intimidation because you know that you belong to God. You carry His seal of ownership in you.
You see, when you catch a revelation, there is a way you walk with God. And there is a way it affects you when the devil comes after you. You will be calm in the midst of the storms. You will be calm because you know that you are not going to go under in the midst of the storm. That is why having revelation is very important.
