TOPIC: Grace Is No License To Sin (TREM Devotional 2 July 2026)
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” – Titus 2:11-12 KJV
MESSAGE
For those of you who say, “Now that I am saved by grace, I can live anyhow. It doesn’t matter,” take a look at today’s Scripture. The grace of God came to teach us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world. In other words, grace teaches us to live for Christ!
Bro Mike, but you said God loves me unconditionally. Yes, He does! Let me tell you, even if you do not read your Bible, God still loves you. If you don’t pray, He still loves you. But you know what? You are giving the devil access to your life, and that is unwise. You don’t want to give the devil access into your life, nor would you want him to live with you in your house.
God’s love for you and being saved by grace do not exempt you from holy living, nor is it a license to live your life anyhow. The truth is that being saved by grace removes the pressure from you so that you can easily access what has been freely given.
According to Hebrews 11:13, the saints of old saw the promises “afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” (KJV). They were looking for a country of their own and were not thinking of the country they had left.
If the saints of old were not thinking of where they left, why are you still thinking of the world? Why are you still saying, “Since grace has saved me, I will as well fornicate or go to the bar and drink?”
They had the opportunity to return, but they did not. Their desires and their whole thought pattern were changed. You can never be tempted by what you are not thinking about.
